I have been working in the fashion industry for 10+ years and am currently working as a contract fashion trend director for a multiple manufacturing and retail companies. I research and analyze current and past market trends, runway shows, global street style and trending themes on social media to predict what overall themes will be successful in retail stores the following year. I am a seasoned fashion forecaster and have expert knowledge identifying trends of all kinds- whether that be fashion, graphic design or social media trends. I create many detailed visual reports that exhibit not only my expertise in forecasting but also my background in presentation design. These decks then get presented to design directors of big box retailers and specialty stores such as Target, Hollister, etc. This helps direct their internal design teams in order to book on trend silhouettes for their upcoming collections.

As a contract trend director, Iv’e work alongside the VP of Design and Merchandising to direct our design teams. We created monthly collections and I lead a team of designers (both graphic and fashion). We began with pulling inspiration tears, move into CAD/hand sketches which we then reviewed with internal design teams at specialty stores and big box retailers. From there we sourced fabrication, designed prints and graphics in house and merchandised our collection in order for retailers to purchase our styles. I acted as the principal photographer and art director on every shoot we did (about 3 a month, covering over 100 looks per shoot) I then used the imagery to put together comprehensive design presentations.
